Episode IV: A New Hope is actually the first film released for the Star Wars series of films. The original Star Wars film, A New Hope was first released as just Star Wars. The LEGO Group has released a series of Star Wars LEGO Sets to compliment A New Hope. This series includes three Millennium Falcon models, one being to actual mini figure scale making it the largest LEGO Set released to date. The Millennium Falcon 10179 contains over 5000 LEGO bricks and costs in the neighborhood of $500. The Millennium Falcon 7190 is a smaller scale LEGO Set but still fits mini figures and is quite playable with minifigs. The third Millenium Falcon, the 7778 model is a mid scale model that does not fit any mini figures whatsoever but is quite playable.
A must have for this series of Star Wars LEGO Sets is Darth Vader's TIE Fighter Vader 8017. This set is a great model of Vader's TIE from A New Hope and contains a Darth Vader mini figure along with his red light saber. Another quality set is the Imperial Destroyer 6211. The Imperial Destroyer is a great build and contains eight very fun mini figures designed to look like character from A New Hope. If you enjoy unique LEGO mini figures, the Sandcrawler 10144 is another great set with mini figures unlike any other Star Wars LEGO Set.
