Jedi Duel 7103

I can still remember Yoda turning on his light saber in the movie theater. There was a moment of silence, and then a loud cheering that reverberated through the room. Everyone knew Yoda was bad, but no one, until this moment, realized how truly awesome he was. That little, green, ball of Jedi was more agile and cunning in battle than anyone could have ever guessed when he first met Luke Skywalker, and begged him for his food in that little swamp in Degobah, but we saw him in his prime on Geonosis, when he battled the Sith, Count Dooku. When the coward attempts an escape on his speeder bike, we all booed and hissed, but Yoda, ever confident in the force, resumes his facade of age and feebleness as he limps away from the duel, cane in hand.

But now, the Jedi Duel LEGO 7103 set. This LEGO set is a small, great addition to any collection. You have a speeder bike, and a crane that keep the speeder bike in tow, and becomes a weapon, pushed by the force, during this epic conflict between good and evil. To be blunt, the speeder bike is ok. Some of the detailing is nice, and it is a relatively accurate representation of the speeder bike from the movie, but to truly appreciate this set is to look at the two mini figurines that come with it.

Yoda, with his unique, green lightsaber, green hands, and unique body is great, but his head is a sculpted piece like no other LEGO head out there. It is sculpted, dimensional, and adds a truly unique look to this mini figure. Although it is a shame they can not reduce Yoda's scale in this LEGO set, the full sized Yoda figure makes this set worth buying. Besides that, you have Count Dooku. He is another well crafted figure, with the unique head that include a great hair piece (was Dooku bald) and beard, but his torso has a cape clasp, and the brown cape shows off his nicely blackened body for true effect. The real nice thing about the Count Dooku LEGO mini figure is the lightsaber. An attention to detail was put into this LEGO set with Dooku's very unique, curved lightsaber hilt reproduced in this Jedi Duel LEGO set.
