Jedi Defense I 7203

This set was released in 2002, and is relatively small with only 58 pieces. This set includes Obi-Wan (Padawan) and two destroyer Droids.

The version of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the set is that of when he was a padawan Qui-Gon Jinn. In those days his hair was brown and his torso cream. He wore a padawan’s braid in his hair and had brown legs. His lightsaver was blue and had a chrome hilt on it. The version of Kenobi is different than the version in 1, as the version in 1 uses a yellow head and hands instead of the flesh color used in this set.

The Destroyer Droids in this set are also known as Droidekas. The two Destroyer Droids are from the Trade federation and the Separatist armies. They are action figures and can roll up into a ball like a sow bug and emit their own shields.

The Destroyer Droid from the Trade Federation comes from the trading organization that sits on the Outer Rim Territories during the Galactic Republic. This Destroyer Droid was also present during the invasion of Naboo, and the Trade Federation was led by Viceroy Nute Gunray.

When it comes to the Destroyer Droid that hails from the Separatists, there is a rich history. The Separatists, also known as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. They were a separatist movement and they were led by the one and only Count Dooki, that in that time, declared intentions to leave the Galactic Republic. Through time, the tensions between the Separatists and the Republic resulted in war, but only after the then Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Padme’ Amidala were all sentenced to die on Geonosis. The Confederacy of Independent Systems continued to put fear in the hearts of hordes of citizens of the Republic, due largely to the infamous General Grievous, the supreme commander of the Droid Armies. The Confederacy put up a great fight and won many of the battles in the long war against the Separatists. Eventually, the Confederacy was slowly dissipated. This is said to be due to the leaders that were killed on Mustafar, which allowed Palpatine to reform the Confederacy of Independent Systems into the Galactic Empire.

This set like any other products produced by the LEGO company is made with high impact plastic and will last for years to come, adding future value for those who collect these and other LEGO sets.
