Trade Federation MTT 7662

The Lego set of the Trade Federation MTT 7662 is a Star Wars ship which is used by the federation to carry droids into battle which is usually seen in many of the major battles in the Star Wars saga. The Lego set measures sixteen inches long and ten inches high. The set is recommended for children four and up but you may want to have someone who is at least thirteen to assemble it due to the complexity of the instructions and how close some of the pieces are in shape and color. When you assemble the set you may want to have extra pieces available and glue unmoving parts down due to how fragile the frame of the set is.

This set is very well designed and has stunning details. It comes with sixteen regular battle droids which are colored tan, two security droids which have red torsos and tan limbs, and two pilot droids who have blue torsos and tan limbs, and a destroyer droid. You can open the side to see the controls and the droids working them which only makes the effect even greater. There is a secret rack of battle droids ready for battle, but from my experience it is best not to use it to much because they usually leave out the vital parts that hold the rack together for some reason. The ship also has a cruiser to carry droids about which can be found under one of the panels usually placed near the control room. Lego has also stated that the top bunker of the ship can also work as a mini aircraft but for some reason attempting to remove it will cause major damage to the main frame of the ship.

Over all this a very good Lego ship in design besides some of the structural issues that you may run into when making it. The price may be a little to much for a smaller child to buy so I suggest giving this particular set as a gift or reward.
