The LEGO Clone Wars sets are a culmination of eight years of Star Wars LEGO systems released by the LEGO Group. Some of the creations seen in the LEGO Clone Wars sets are similar to previous LEGO builds but the Clone Wars versions are in a class of their own.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated micro series that was later also made into a feature full length movie. The LEGO Group first released Star Wars LEGO Sets based on the Clone Wars movie in 2008, the same year the film was released.
